    April 1, 1970: It is officially announced in the Wisconsin media that the owners of the Seattle Pilots baseball team were granted permission to sell the franchise to Milwaukee investors. The team changed its name to the Milwaukee Brewers and played its first home game at County Stadium on April 7.
